Tonight's Board Meeting

We have some interesting things on the agenda tonight. We will continue the Ryland public hearing, however I will not ask for a vote, I do intend to call for a vote at the board meeting on the 20th of June.
  • Tonight will mark the first time we have met in our new format with committee chairs reporting on progress made investigating things that the whole board has assigned the committee. However tonight we will be talking about things we want to place in the committee docket for investigation. I have a brief description of the assignments and an initial potential docket for each committee in a prior posting.
  • One of the more mundane things the board will likely approve is a contract with Clark Mosquito Management for $10,404. This is for spraying the village 6 times and working the larvae in all the water areas in the village. When you are having a BBQ and no mosquitos are present, this is money well spent! Just one of the many small details the village takes care for those quality of life issues.
  • We will also be having a first reading of the "proposed ethics ordinance". We have implemented a two step process for passing ordinances, while its a little slower it's also more transparent.
