The Village of Round is proud to announce that it has been awarded the coveted Tree City USA designation, and in celebration, will be hosting its second annual Arbor Day Event. The expanded celebration will be held at the village hall at 442 North Cedar Lake Road on Saturday, April 21st, at 11:00am. Come join myself and the trustees as we read the Village’s Arbor Day Proclamation.There will be activities for the kids, refreshments and a free tree to the first 100 Round Lake families donated by our event sponsor’s: Home Depot, Highland Green Nursery and Lurvey’s Garden Center in Des Plaines, IL. There will also be licensed arborists on-hand with information and tree planting advice. For additional information you can contact Trustee Sherry Perkowitz who has done a great job coordinating the whole process.
