Plant a Promise

The Lake County Department of Health and the Illinois Department of Public Health are funding the program "Plant a Promise" celebrating those who are tobacco free and those whose lives have been touched by tobacco related disease. By planting red tulips in your garden, every spring there will be a spectacular red bloom!

We are going to plant some in front of the village hall thanks to the county who are providing free bulbs to non-profit based organizations.

To stimulate this go to a local florist and buy tulips! Round Lake has an excellent florist in Dave Daudelein who owns Ralph's Florist on Fairfield Road just South of Nippersink.

If you want more information or a "Plant a Promise" sign for your yard call the Tobacco Free Lake County at the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center at 847-377-8090 or via email.
