Most of the Round Lake Area Mayors and area elected officials have agreed to host Round Lake middle schoolers as "Mayors for a Day" for a Leadership day. So today I will have 2-3 kids tagging along with me today as mayor. I am going to give them a tour of the village and then a tour of our facilities, then more then likely take them to lunch.Round Lake Trustee Sherry Perkowitz organized this extensively and recruited the elected officials to participate. I love the idea, getting people involved in seeing what elected officials do on a daily basis can only give a positive perspective on the what one person can accomplish in his or her community.
